Sanders' new turdenburd v. nearly done

I'm looking at buying a car that's halfway across the country in SoCal, anyone have any sweet pro tips for the shipping process? Getting instant quotes at around $900, or I could get a plane ticket, drive it back (fun roadtrip?) for like $500 plus the three or four days...

A friend of mine used uship to ship a very large truck. It was something like $2200. It was a pretty good deal.

Where in so cal? What car?

We had 2 cars trucked from michigan along time ago for around $450 each, no damage or BS it worked out ok. I'd probably drive it myself though - cheaper and more fun.

Got anyone to go with you?

I ended up going with a different car.. the car in Socal was a good deal in terms of the mods it had (probably 3x the value of the car itself) but the big issue with it was the paint - totally fried clear coat on all the horizontal surfaces. Plus with any modded car you never quite know how well the installs were done for each mod.

The car I put a deposit on is being finished up by a tuner/builder for these cars and will be ready (hopefully) around end of October. It's just a cheap(ish) car for me to have fun with for the next few years, just couldn't take having only the 99 Saturn :p And will probably end up being the winter beater once I get what I really want (after I graduate etc)
