I tuck like a mofo every time I wheelie. Whether I try to wheelie or by accident I always have my head over the tank:( Guy on the left has done that before:lol:

If you tuck your head, you'll never be able to do a stand up wheelie.

well gosh:(

hmm. recently i have been playing around with not using the clutch for shifting. as long as I'm not in a low gear (meaning its awfully rough on either direction 1-2, 2-3, and slightly rough 4-3) it seems to be nice and smooth if I get the throttle right, in fact a lot of the time I can't even really tell that I didn't use clutch. is this going to damage anything? I hope not, I love not using it lol.

McKnight 01-08-2007 01:10 PM

just dont downshift without clutch

totensiebush 01-08-2007 01:17 PM

whats wrong with downshifting without clutch? i mean, i obviously blip the throttle when I do so, but I haven't had any problems with it so far. is it because of the concern of losing rear wheel traction, or will it actually damage the bike?

McKnight 01-21-2007 03:49 PM

going through a sweeper covered in gravel at 80 is fun

edit: going up a hill covered in gravel is fun too

that is all

totensiebush 01-21-2007 03:54 PM

yeah, luckily I saw Caltrans graveling the roads that I like to ride when I was in the car, instead of coming across it while on the bike.

McKnight 01-22-2007 04:16 PM

Im talking about the built up old gravel thats been driven over too many times so its parted to the outside of the lanes.

I switched lanes over a bridge where they accumulate and power slided across the whole thing:cool: lol. Before and after the bridge it was clear so it caught me off guard.

totensiebush 01-25-2007 10:49 PM

damn, if this guy can jet his R6 out to 1000cc I ought to be able to jet my 250 out to 400cc, would be awesome http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Yamaha-YZF-R6-Jetted-to-1000cc-%20PCIII_W0QQitemZ160076546166QQihZ006QQcategoryZ1479%3Cbr%20/%3E06QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

you're not the only one going nuts waiting for spring, a few people around here are planning on trailering bikes to BC in march so they can go riding for a long weekend.. its very tempting.

eekk... ya wont see me out with snow on the road.

lopoetve-get a shovel man!

supposedly its gonna be 40f here tomorow with no snow on the roads.
im gonna try and get out,i cant take it anymore.

i even drained my carbs and pulled the battery on both bikes, but im willing to redo one bike again to get out once more.

ill have to be carefull also as these dumbass's here put gravel and rocksalt both on all our roads.

CanuckDave 01-26-2007 06:07 PM

Me neither, thats why I was riding on the sidewalk

its the only way I can get out to the main roads, all the side streets are still full of ice and snow, impossible to get down with a bike.
