Apparently they've been intercepting network equipment that people buy and installing backdoors. Is this true? :wtf: i had to double check the URl and make sure it wasnt the onion

according to Tut, no

Triple B 03-19-2015 06:35 PM

and if you are just hearing about this I'm guessing you haven't read about hard drive firmwares being hacked

Triple B 03-19-2015 06:37 PM

I don't see a downside in assuming that anything that has the potential to reveal useful data if hacked probably is

except Samsung televisions of course...

i did hear about that, kasperski found it first iirc but i thought that was in cooperation with the HD makers, not interception..

Baloneyflaps 03-20-2015 09:32 AM

the NSA has been installing backdoors in everything ghetto orders. Otherwise what else could explain why he can order something Friday afternoon and pay extra for next day air and still not receive the package until Tuesday or Wednesday!?

Do the math.
