Nice one ;) Yep :D

I used to have an SC that I really liked but it was a high mileage POS. The one I'm getting only has about half the mileage and is my all time favorite year/color combo, '93 with red exterior and black interior. This car also has custom upholstered seats that probably cost well over $1000 to have done. Like I said it's not my dream car, just something I like, can afford right now, and has enough of an aftermarket to give me stuff to do with it. Plus they were rare when they were new and they're ultra rare these days. I like that :)

Mine will have full exhaust, overdrive SC pulley, a nice B&M shifter, etc.

They are pretty hard to find, but they can be had VERY reasonable. The one I found in SoCal could have been had for less than $3500. The one I'm getting is less than $5000, but part of that cost is going into the engine rebuild (parts like ARP head studs are pretty 'spensive).

And no, 5 speed manual. That's one of the cool things about the SCs, they were all available with stick. Also you might be surprised to know that they have full IRS plus other nifty features, like adjustable ride control shocks (with a switch in the center console, or automatic based on throttle position or speed), variable power steering assist, etc. This one even has all of the awesome options like JBL sound, "keyless entry" (AKA a stupid keypad by the driver's door handle, lol) and the power sunroof.

lollersk8s 08-23-2014 03:09 PM

 i remember the keypads

Interesting, didn't know about manual and irs. On the C4 I had the fx3 adjustable shocks. Pulled 'em out along with actuators and swapped in some KYBs :p bc i was poor - the OEM adjustable bilsteins were like 4x the price. There's really only one setting i needed anyway as a teenager and that is whatever will hurt your kidneys the most.

Do they all work? Mine were blown for the most part.

New billies > > > new KYB > > worn out billies/anything

DAMN! That is nice!
Hands down, I think those are some nicest upholstery work I have seen. Especially in a shitbox 90s car :D

Colonel Sanders 08-26-2014 03:17 PM

lol I didn't realize you could still get them. I guess my new car is just so awesome that it was pioneering new technologies  :p

Discussing options for the engine right now like a cam and ported heads...
