Car to buy around 4k in US
So, i am moving temporaly to LA (coming from Brazil) and i will need to buy a car.

My budget is around US$ 4,000 and I would like a 4 door car that is not too old nor to hard to sell/maintain since i will not be for long in the US.

Been looking at ford fusion, nissan sentra but i dont know anything about their markets and i am sure i dont know many cars that are good for my criteria.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say whatever camry or altima you can find for 4 grand and just call it a day.

yeah, i'd second that

"easy to sell, though?" I mean... you should really just plan to drive it into the earth TBH.

On craigslist it is 4k for 2004-2006 for Camry and a couple years newer for Altima. I will keep these two in mind and look for lowest well maintained miles.

Funny, Altimas are cheaper than Sentras apparently.

Typhoon43 09-15-2016 11:24 AM

Altimas are no frills, gutless wonders but they just run. We have one here in our fleet of work vehicles and the 09 one we have just refuses to die, and it gets BEAT...TO...HELL daily by employees that check it out. I have to say it's impressed me.
Accord
That will get you a 2005 Accord Sedan with 97,000 miles on it.
A 2006 Altima with similar mileage is the same price to be honest, so Accord may not be a bad choice. It's still a Honduh.

Hard Turd 09-17-2016 04:14 PM

I dunno they just run forever and are incredibly easy to work on.
