There is no fucking need for knee-jerk legislation. Rape is already illegal. Why is this woman suing Halliburton anyway? Halliburton didn't attack her, those men did. I assume they were immediately discharged once the allegations were properly investigated; the company's legal obligation should end there shouldn't it? Why should the company be forced to change the terms of its employment contracts (terms which are put in in order to protect the employees interests in the first place) on an arbitrary whim of public sentiment towards in injured woman? That's a waste of our government's time.
