Anyone here a Juniper guru and knows VoIP?

If so - do you know anything about the SRX-series gateways and know how to get SIP ALG to work properly for VoIP for both inbound and outbound?

If so - PM me - for the love of God and all that is holy, please PM me.

Fought with a juniper ns5gt earlier today. Awful awful things. Replaced it with a cisco and everything worked immediately. Funnily enough I met with Kevin Johnson a few years ago at an alumni event.

Have you tried these?

We tried everything; I work with some brilliant people who knows networking and VoIP like the back of their hands. We get outbound audio to work flawlessly, but inbound is still failing.

We got to the point of getting a JUNIPER FUCKING ENGINEER AND THEY STILL CAN'T GET IT TO WORK. But... he was just an engineer - not someone who knows VoIP well. So I am on a quest to find someone who does know Juniper inside out AND anything that has to do with VoIP/SIP ALG pertaining to Juniper.

Nope - they have a SIP Trunk provider.

Do the phones register with a server that is on an internal ip or a public ip?

Public. It's a bit of a different scenario - the phones register to us, we register with the SIP Trunk provider, and the RTP is direct between the phones and the provider.

Weird. IDK, open the control ports 5060-5080 direct to the public?

Signaling works - RTP doesnt.

Why do you want the sip device to proxy via the SRX? I've never had much luck with ALG's juniper/cisco/force10/etc.

(i built a ~5m juniper network at the last company I was at, had some SRX's for the IT side of the house. PM me and i'll see if i can help)

Our client is using our services - we provide hosted call center solution (basically a call center in the cloud). We let them figure out what carrier they want to use, we register to that carrier but utilize SIP ALG to direct signaling to one source and RTP to another source - that's why we need to get it done that way.

As far as the SRX goes - they have it configured for the IT side of things, no one can figure out how to make it happen for the VoIP side
