I play an elyos Gladiator on official servers and i'm pretty geared..
If anyone has questions on stuff I can happily answer. Stuff like endgame class balance, strength/weaknesses and crap.

But, if your question is "how do I get max level fastest" it'll be this: grind your ass off.

And you're right, I really need to stick to groups. Damn my being anti-social in computer games

Teaming up with 4 or 5 folks and I can cast group heals and buffs and they massacre things. On my own, I have to spend a LOT of time healing myself while dealing tiny damage. If I can stick with groups a bit longer, I can go and finish some other quests for giggles.

Is there an easy way to tell where the hell the rifts are? I mean I know they open, but I've never even seen one. I've googled them, but is there no way to tell where the rift is other than spend 20 minutes running around the map?

Clerics are one of the better solo pvp classes end game (lvl 55). They do ridiculous amounts of burst dmg when they are DPS spec. Heal spec has nice group heals, which if you are a decent healer you won't need unless you fighting in a 6v6+ or something or pulling tons of mobs on your group. tbh if you are decent you won't "need" heal spec until lvl 50 Dark Poeta.

What you suggested is actually the best way to level. At lvl 40ish you can be doing Steel Rake with other people getting xp and gear through it. There's also the Mist Mane area for asmo to just grind on elite mobs. That to me is the most efficient way to level. A truly solo class would be a Spiritmaster or a Ranger, but Clerics aren't bad either. :P

I'll find info on exact entry/exit rifts locations later for you, but for now, i'm pimping out my friend's Cleric pvp video:

+ YouTube Video

It's too bad you went Elyos instead of Asmo, now we'll only see each other whilst killing each other.

You going to stick with the game a while?

I know it's just alpha now, and that when it goes to beta, they are doing a server wipe. I may switch sides then.

I assume it's against the TOS to have two accounts?

I'm not too worried about the wipe. I don't think they have any plans to move to beta until all retail features are 100% implemented. It's been in "alpha" for a year now and there is still a lot that needs to be put in.

Is there a theorycrafting site for Aion like there is for WoW? Something akin to Elitistjerks. I can't find shit for quality info via Google.

I played on Infiniteaion and got a char to max level back before no campaign quests were implemented. It's a fun server, especially for just dicking around.

Start running instances like Adma to build a decent gear set, and join PvP/Fortress groups to earn AP for advanced stigmas.

Or roll up an alt and try out a different class?

Yeah there is some seriously good pvp in this, like old Ultima Online.

There is a lot of ganking in the general areas, but when forts are vulnerable in the abyss, there are more red dots than I can count. It does seem to be well balanced.

As a cleric, they always try to kill me first
