$39 right there. $51 if you want the BMW brand one (which is probably identical to the Contitech one). You can get free shipping if you spend $75 - you probably need another $36 worth of something for this car anyway.

Yeah I'll buy poly subframe bushings as well... that'll get me free shipping

Being smart is NOT being cheap. Use what works. Be very careful with the message boards. Like anything – There’s good, and there’s not-good. Everything is a recommendation by someone with no stake in the game, however well intentioned.

I’ve followed info from a BMW “Expert”, which didn’t hold up, and now I get to do it over again. I also got very good advice. I’ve used GENUINE BMW parts which failed, and I’ve used aftermarket which was crap and had me running back to BMW. Take your best hunch and learn as you go. “Generally speaking” – the original BMW part was engineered by someone who knows something……..But they also know how to sell more parts.

BMW’s are an interesting hobby. Again, you’ll learn as you go. Feel free to ask my opinion, and I’ll gladly share. J

AS A RULE: Don’t dork with anything that’s safety related. BMW genuinely doesn’t want that to fail, and neither do you!
welp he says pyramid and other richers back2bank

Paying $45 for a length of hose that would cost $6 elsewhere just because it has a BMW part number etched into it is smart to you?

mehhh dont know what to do

i know using a non OEM hose would bite me in the ass.... And not because the aftermarket hose wouldn't perform as well.... The fact that it won't look anything like stock is going to kill resale value

I'd just get the OE hose. The pre-formed hoses are worth it in terms of how well it just fits into the spot, without touching other parts.

How much did you spend on the car? Stop agonizing over $45

usually runs about 2-300, varies with utility cost.

its very little when you consider what rent costs around here but it helps them a lot

You're much better off financially than ghetto. I mean - I agree with you, BUT since this is the most useless hose ever it won't hurt much to cheap out.
