that line of shit might work on the sobbing masses but ive seen what goes on during contract negotiations. its most certainly all about fleecing as much money as possible out of the community. behind all of the "for the children!!!" rhetoric are assholes with their hands out. its a predictable blind love for the public school system, just ask a few teachers about private schools and watch them laugh like a jackass.

Aye, oddly enough all the others only inspire horror cartoons about them.

And before public schooling the extreme majority of those actually receiving education were the rich elite, focusing on core subjects, just so you know

It's also funny that people clamor for core Republican / Libertarian beliefs, yet fail to realize the first republican was the one most in favor of public schooling.

I have this to rebut FW, what is his proof?

Thank you for posting that. People relying on hearsay and their own opinions about education need to read things like this.

theres nothing really wrong with the idea of public schooling per say. one problem is control of these schools is being taken from parents and communities and transfered to far off assholes who cant be held directly accountable. another problem is how public schools are being turned into substitute homes/daycares.

but never fear, school lunch/breakfast shouldnt upset any of you poor local folk, were taking it from someone else somewhere else. a typical example is the spending on school bus operation in my local district. they *could* spend about $450k a year by using the most efficient routes possible. instead they spend $750k per year and force some kids to ride the bus as long as 2.5 hours per day. why? because this way they get $500k in outside funding. people like vendetta want to make sure that money keeps fucking coming.

Insisting the US DOE to be a vital role in American Education does not mean I blindly support fiscal irresponsibility. If the US DOE creates a program they better damn WELL fund it for the LEAs, but the money needs to be tracked and implemented accordingly.

Stop talking out your ass.
