The 200R4 was the lower level trans, probably shouldnt have been in such a large car - the 307 should have gotten the 700R4/4L60

My FSM shows 3.73 (towing), 2.93, and 3.42. The 200R4 was standard in all FWBs in 1986. They may (should!) have gotten with the 700R4 in later revisions, but they certainly got it when they started packing the LT motors ('90).

The 700R4 showed up in 1990 for the 350, and in 91/92 for the 305. In 93, they went over to the LT1 and by then it was called the 4L60E - same thing, just with electronics.

My grandmother still has my grandfather's '90 FWB with the 350. He held on to his '80 with the 368 for a whole decade because he didn't like the malaise-era engines (prior to that, he'd replace his Cadillacs every 3 years - always a black FWB with cloth interior).

Someday, that car will be mine.

I have a giant FWB boner. I need to make some space so I can go buy one.
