Because coilovers are inappropriate for street use, and you have to spend like $5000 to get non-shitty ones, especially for an M3.

Duh.

Very nice. I still have my springs just sitting in the garage. Maybe you'll motivate me to finally do them

I totally agree. The stance looks perfect to me. You sure you want to change springs and shocks at this point?

Already did. I had to. The drivers' side was a fair amount lower (and therefore more tucked on/) than the pass side. After removing the spacers on these wheels, the scraping was gone, but I still wanted to be able to get rid of this imbalance. The original lowering springs were a little fucked up, and the multiple stacks of spring pads were a bad solution.

problem now is... the adjustment bolt is a pain in the fucking balls to get to. The axles totally F up my access. I don't think they'll ever adjust down low enough to actually INTERFERE w/ the axles, but so far the only way I've found to get a grip on them is w/ an open ended wrench, which is not ideal.

I bought a pass-thru socket set from Home Depot over my lunch break, it's way too bulky to fit there.

Going at it from the opposite side isn't any better. I CAN get the pass thru ratchet + socket in there (or, theoretically, a ratcheting box wrench which I also considered buying) but there isn't enough room, I'd be whacking into brake line, pad wear + wheel speed sensor wires...

Offset box wrench is probably the best I can do.
