What year is that? I'm looking at a '96/97 for ~$2500 , and I was wondering how you like yours?

Link no worky. Mine is a 93 5.0. 93 was the last year with the 5.0/aod combo. 94 and up came with the 4.6/4r7w combo, which was pretty problematic at first. If you are going to go with a 94-later, get a 96 or 97, as most of the kinks were worked out by then.

As for my 93, I LOVE it. I bought it 4 years ago from the original owner with 95k on it. Now it has 130k on it and it has not suffered a single failure. 100% reliable. Not bad. All I have had to do is routine maintenance(fluids, etc) and brakes.

MN12s are very comfortable and roomy and with rear drive/IRS, are reasonably fun to drive. The v8 models, while not exactly fast(mine weighs 3740 lbs) are not slow either and the 5.0 motors(esp the 93) has GOBS of torque. The mod 4.6 motors have a bit more hp(5hp) but less torque. You can wake the cars up a bit with true duals and a 3.73 or so rear diff, but they are pretty decent freeway cruisers even stock. Mine has a 3.08 trac-loc, and if I stay off the gas, I can eek out 27 or so mpg on the highway.

I have some before and after shots on my ghetto cardomain page of what a difference wheels/tires make.

Fix that link I and will look at the bird you are wanting to get. Although, in general, if it is a 96/97 v8 and decent shape, 2500 sounds pretty fair.

1.5L SOHC Civic LSi
78k mileage
Mechanically everything is sound, not a single burp
Inside and out it is very tidy.
The odd stone chips and the touchup paint that followed but that's to be expected on all cars that have met the motorways

Look at that air filter

Tidy here...

Clean there...

not stock speakers.... -_-
