John McCain is a dumb noob

Typical "us against them, good versus evil" speech. Really transparent as far as I'm concerned. And that thing with Moore? Jesus christ, obviously Moore had a bigger impact on the Republicans than they would like to admit. Bush doesn't have a plan for the future - his campaign seems to be "I did something." Who cares what it is, I did something, and if you don't like it, then your last name might as well be Bin Ladin.

Well bush is heavily leaning on "i did something". So I agree with that. On the other hand, kerry in polar contrast is staying away from talking about his politcal career.

Whats wrong with bush saying "look what I did"?

This is insane, now they're trying to tie pilots/passengers/police/firefighters who did courageous things to Bush. On second thought, maybe that's a good thing, as long as they associate Bush as the person who was partially responsible for doing nothing to prevent these people from having to do what they did.

at least they talked about Kerry. Now they're talking about firefighters etc like they are Bush and implying that if Kerry is elected these people will just magically be forgotten.

I think you should be more concerned with his disregard for the constitution over a speech where he mentioned some fat idiot.

What wrong is that he won't admit exactly what it is he did or what he's going to do now.

And I really don't think you can argue that the Democratic convention was more (the word is on the tip of my tongue, it means 'pointless' or 'not being concerned with the issues') than this RNC. They've talked about how horrible Moore is, they've tried to associate firefighters/police/pilots who did brave things with Bush, and they've prayed. They can't stand to get to the real issues. Like him or not, at least Kerry did that.

That is a deep and profound cultural disease plaguing American culture. It seems the mob mentality of most can not grasp that sometimes the best course is to do nothing at all and let things sort themselves out.

If you think this you obviously did not watch much of the Democratic convention. There were many speakers who said nothing about Vietnam, or maybe mentioned it in passing. Many of the speakers addressed the Democratics Party's stance on all kinds of issues, including future plans and policy initiatives.

This convention will be a lot of the same. I'm sure 9/11 will be a major topic, but they have talked about many things already and they will talk about a lot more before the week is out. Don't just rely on the big name speakers and the sound bites from the news channels.

as much as I hate repubs and neo-cons in general, i have a lot of respect for John McCain.

He doesn't pander to the RIGHT as much, he is much more on "common sense" then any other person I know of in politics right now.

I think you like him because he destroys free speech.
