sorry you're being left behind, old man.

Ask me if I care. I really don't. I prefer to live in the real world, rather than the matrix. Red pill, every time baby.

I used to call that "instant messaging"... Oh, wait.

And I don't do much of that anymore... (adjusting iPad needle in arm)

part of your problem is thinking that the "real world" doesn't include online interaction. the whole of society is integrating its online experience with its interpersonal relationships, you are still acting like they're two separate worlds.

i'm fully aware. just seeing how far you could keep up your argument without having to resort to deviating from the original subject matter.

With Google Circles, the get go approach it seems like you're disconnecting with your friends and people in your network before you even start sharing rather than making it a "social network" in the first place.

Its not a rant, just some observation on what Google is trying to provide as a service, I hope they revamp Gmail though it needs a fresh coat of paint.

Because lots of people share things with only family, or vent about work with all their friends but work people, basically it simplifies the filter process of your posts.

I'm curious about the circle thing as well. if G+ ends up being as big as facebook, I think the circle thing may work out well in my own personal case.

in my facebook, I have very few close friends and family while about 85% of others are just people who attended the same high school, distant acquaintances, and workmates. I definitely don't want to see my boss to stalk my personal shit and I'd rather not have non-close friends stalk into my work related shit and my personal shit.

With the circle thing, I can make a circle for family, a circle for work, a circle for school. keep them all separate. go to a party and the boss don't have to see me with a red cup in my hand and me being shit faced because I'm able to block the guy out of that particular circle.

At least this is how I'm hoping the circles would operate. i don't know how they work and what kind of information is shared and blocked from certain people of different circles

you can right now!

create a new circle or use one that's already there
add a person by adding their email.
go to home
select the circle the person/people you want to add are in
write a new msg in Stream (same thing as fb status)
this will send them an email
their email will say "Learn more about Google+"
have them click that
then they are brought to g+ and they have to login with a gmail acct.
watch each other jerk off!
