No but close. very close. It's the same motor.

I figured someone would guess Vmax first Which would be slightly less close.

The sabre was the sportier mono shock design.

The magna was the HD killa (no seriously, it took HD how long to make the vrod... )

Ps. the GWB record was for fastest production bike, nay vehicle even, out of north america. It ran a 10.8 second quarter mile sith some tiny man on it.

On October 3, 1982, Honda brought drag-strip maestro Jay "Pee-Wee" Gleason and a standard V65 to Southern California's Orange County International Raceway to find out. Gleason's 10.92 - second 1/4-mile sprint made the V65 America's fastest production street machine, inspiring ads with one powerfully simple headline: Bad News Travels Fast.
ok 10.9

But seriously, those things pull your fucking arms off and leave your guts behind in a pile at any RPM. More agile than you'd expect in the turns too. 100% reliable aside from the rear cam pitting/oiling issue if nothing was ever done about it. A bargain today as well. I kinda want one haha.

ive seen them on ebay with real low miles, like 7600~

for 3,500 i'd expect prestine/low miles or prestine/more miles/modded

Kirker exhaust, headers, jetted carbs

At one time a couple companies offered supercharger kits for these as well as the vmax. You can still find those on e-bay too.

The V-max needs a few things, but a supercharger is the least of them

I'll wait for gasdrinker to confirm, but I think I see what you mean. The 750 was a bit more compact from the looks of it. It even had smaller belt covers.

My contribution to the game.

It could very well be, they had a V8 in the 30s. My other guess would be Galbusera.
