Mirrored or regular backup camera view?

What do you guys prefer, or what did your vehicle come with stock?

Cameras are better suited for large busses and things where the sheer distance, rows of seats and potentially hordes of children bouncing around and swinging teddy bears is going to interfere with both the mirror and you physically trying to look backwards. On a little car it seems pretty pointless. For me the mirror, it works. Most of the time I actually turn around while backing up, my car has really good visibility as a low coupe.

As an extreme example, you wouldn't want one on a motorcycle - that would just be retarded. S2000, miata, same thing. Suburban, vans, trucks with a full bed - I can see a use for it there.

Oh :hmm:

i'd want it to be like whatever I'm used to, ie - reflection style.

any good aftermarket camera will have the option to choose your preferred view style... many purpose built LCDs have this option too, so it's a matter of preference in that case

some cars/trucks have massive blind spots, in them using a camera rocks! test drive the new F-150 with Sync and backup camera and see how nice one can be. I know i kind of wish my Mustang GT had either a camera in back with sensors in front or sensors on both ends. but my old VW Golf yeah no need for a camera you could see where all the ends are and put it right where you want it.
