ATI (AMD) or NVIDIA for Quad output setup?

Building a video dsitribution PC for our HQ, and need to slap 2 x Dual Head PCI Video Cards in it. I've done plenty of Dual setups, but I only did one Quad and that was with Ultramon back in the day. Does Nview or Hydravision support more than 2 diffeent outputs? We have TV channels assigned in the building and I'd like to be able to say my Whatsup Dashboard goes to VGA1, this powerpoint presentation luanches on VGA2 and so on.

Just trying to figure out if one manufactuer's multi-monitor solution is better than the other.

Thanks.

PCI? No agp slots on board?

You can get a matrox card with four outputs and uses one agp slot.

It's a Poweredge 6650.
PCI/PCI-X only.

Are you fucking high?

Anyways, Typhoon. I have done quad setups with both ATI and nVidia. Both will work for what you want, but IMO nVidia definatly has better drivers and control panel than ATI.

But like i said, you can make either of them work without a fuss.

Thx man. I was leaning towards the Nvidia since we run Quadros here at work and they've been good to us.

just FYI, I was trying to put a discrete graphics card in a poweredge about a year ago, for use as a desktop. After trying about 3 or 4 cards, I got one that worked, it was a quadro, I tried PCI and PCI-e solutions, ATI x700, NV Ion, and NV 8400GS, none of which worked. The BIOS would disable them.

Poweredge's can be picky so do your research.

Based on his first post he wasnt buying a motherboard, instead two PCI video cards. I wanted to know why, because I assumed there would be AGP slots available.
