the guy said they were seized together, but I hope I can get the coil sleeves off to use on my tokico d-specs

does redline have a recommendation box on their site or something?

I was reading an e-mail from *someone* at redline on unofficial BMW and saw a few forum posts about it.

It's all oil in the end, just ATF has more detergents afaik... slightly different additive package that helps in certain cases even with manual trannies.

Yeah.. I'm kind of giddy thinking about all the different directions I could go I wouldn't mind finding another f-body, a WS6 Formula maybe, with super low miles (I still haven't owned a car with under 100k on it). Actually my #1 wish would be a 08-09 Bullitt

And building.. and building...

Because of my dad's thesis, the off season was taken up with work for that instead of prep work on the car so we only got out once... car was a lot more prepped than it ever was but.. er.

Well, you know, I was pretty damn sure the carb jetting was wrong but on the safe (rich) side. And it was! It even showed that way on the breakin on the dyno... up to about 7k RPM at full load. Whereup it... kind of went lean.

Yes, we had a "lol apex seals" event.

moving onwards & upwards in the car hobby is part of the fun. now it's time for automay to make fun of MY purple monster

my concern with half and half mixes has always been thinking of oil & water - obviously to a lesser extent but the same idea - not all oils on the planet mix smoothly and I REALLY don't want ot buy a new six speed

@tong yea I didn't do the mix either in the end

@sander new car time is exciting, at least for me. The trick is to keep that down enough and not end up with another 'fixxer upper' that is beyond your current capacity in time and money.

@KJ - the a-seals went on a NA rotary? Why don't you guys just embrace the piston...

No. Did new thermostat+new radiator/expenasion cap and some water wetter for good luck. So far just overheats everytime. except it ran fine for a week after the thermostat install.

Thermostat is on the bottom of the motor, where the lower rad hose connects to the engine.

Someone should explain why its so hard to maintain a subaru cooling system. I *never* had any cooling issues with my volvo's.
