Rudy and Palin just rocked the house

Both of them delivered excellent speeches. I'm so glad John McCain will be the next president. That is all.

(waits for copy & paste marathon)

I'm starting to lean to McCain and Palin. (Although I'm still a Ron Paul guy.) I suppose he's better than Nader, Obama, and Barr.

Rudy had a couple funny lines, even if he sounded like a huge douche for most of it. The bit where he's talking about Palin's small town mayoral experience and pauses and says....."Maybe they cling to religion there." was pretty good. Made me laugh anyway.

Missed Palin. Will have to listen on Youtube.

Rudy fucking sucked. Like he always did, and until he's finally forgotten he'll always just be using the same fucking gimmick he has since he was mayor.

I have yet to watch the palin one.

Yeah, great speech Rudy. I forgot all about that 9/11-Hussein link and loved the jabs at being a community organizer; such a petty job.

I would even say five years ago. The same guy who called the religious right "agents of intolerance," stood up for gay rights and abortion, and in many ways seemed only like a Republican by name, has sold his soul for the nomination.

When I saw him voice his anti-military-industrial complex stance in Why We Fight, I was hooked on the guy; only to see him come full circle and serve as the arms industries chief acquisitions officer with his 'tough guy' approach to foreign policy. It's unfortunate to see a once outstanding civil servant bend to the will of the few and privileged.

god i FUCK ALL SHIT SHIT its all the same been going on FOR TWO YEARS before the presidency

what the FUCK. there's been so much obsession over this goddamn election, i think we should all have a good wank instead, in fact, lets all just wank, and wank, and wank, all up until election date, and just vote.
lets all wank-shake on that, how about? just wanking, no fucking posting about fucking second day speeches, no copypasta, no fucking dumb analysis, wasting our time.

seriously. this election obsession has gotten out of hand, where everyone thinks that every new fucking inch of development is fucking worthy news. it isn't.

Do you really think who McCain picks as vp is going to change how things are run whatsoever are extremely gullible IMO.

Oh and Palin said that the war in iraq is gods work or something like that. Yes that sound so maverick!

What has happened to make a "Ron Paul guy" lean towards this?

She's an embarrassment to every woman who ever went to college.

Makes me understand what all the Obama fellatio is about, if you fuckweeds were going to vote Republican all along. Please, give me an essay on why their ticket is now "better than Barr" -- whom I'm betting you don't know ten words about without hitting Google.

Yep, a lot of people weren't expecting Palin to be such a good public speaker. Post speech focus groups agree. They also agree that they didn't like her tone, and were not happy at with the mudslinging.

The base is all excited about her now, which I suppose is a win, but I don't believe she actually gained any votes.

It did do one good thing for Obama, insured that Palin will stay around and not be dropped like everyone assumed she would. Now I can continue to wake up everyday excited to hear about the new piece of controversy surrounding her. It's also going to afford people the opprotunity to actually call her on her shit. Federal Funds, Troopers, Foriegn policy trips to Kuwait, and her command of the alaskan national guard. Can't wait till she starts getting some tough questions.

no doubt she is a peppy, fun speaker. i could see people falling for her and her endearing northern accent. anyone could have given that speech last night, though. her resume wasn't that impressive. she gave us more detail on where oil comes from than on her political accomplishments. she reformed government by ditching the private jet and cook. good job. she gave my gas money to a bunch of alaskans. woooo!

I see the presidency/vp as a job where you get to remember speeches and lie to the american people. While they are doing this we have a choice of which face we would like to be lied to with. Palin obviously wins that category. McCain is an epic fail at this but now with her it does make him seem better as long as she does all the talking. McCain is too old and senile to do this for the next 8 years.

i also thought it was funny how akward palin and mccain were together afterwards. after the most akward hug possible, palin went and stood six feet away from mccain, acting like she was scared to be near some creepy old man. i guess she got a hint in her inner ear monitor to act like she actually knows mccain and eventually moved next to him after a minute or two.
