I played DoD:S free this weekend, and it feels a lot more like Wolf:ET now. However, wolfet is still more fun (and less real, woot).

It was pretty badass, last I played (well, now you obviously can't get that but you understand what I mean.)

I never played any of the realism mods but RO has everything you listed and the best sight and aiming system I've seen in a game, realistic vehicles, etc. I guess if you just liked the engine or Western front better or whatever but if you wanted realism it seems like RO would do a better job at it.

I played it this weekend and bought it. Not as good as 1.3 but still fun, reminds me of old Call of Duty online.

I stopped playing DoD when they ruined it from 1.3 by adding sniper rifle drift. Before that I could go 80-4, only dying when I had to get more ammo.

I don't know if there was a petition or anything like that for the whole Mass Effect and Spore fiasco, but I do know that the amount of general outcry was enough to make the publisher change their minds about their big brother copy protection policy.

Yea, I've seen numerous online petitions work and accomplish what it was intended to.

Because of online petitions it helped things like Tall Tale games want to start/get the sam and max liscense.

Numerous dvd releases, copy protection scehemes cleared/done away with, etc.

links? And proof that it was because of the petition and not just forum spam / email?

I know in the case of Spore and Mass Effect people were spamming their forums.

Still, many times online petitions are pointless and mismanaged as the snopes article points out.

ie: the petition saying Blizzard should not make Diablo 3 b/c they don't have the original Diablo 2 team.

The ex dialbo 2 team members made Guild Wars (meh) and Hellgate London (lawl)
