Yea, that all depends on the amount of water and electrolytes you have in your system. And people store fat differently, I dont think the electric methods send the current thru your arms, face, neck, upper body, etc..

The current is going to take the path of least resistance, which basically means up the legs, across the groin/hips, and down the other leg. It won't pick up much of the upper body at all, probably not even the stomach area.

I tend to store much of my fat in my legs, and those things give me a ridiculously high reading. I was reading at something like 28% when I had visible abs and clearly defined muscles on my upper body. A caliper test pulled me in at 11%, which makes much more sense.

I just got tested. Said I was 14.6% BF.

Overall weight was 146.5 (with my swimming trunks on). 125.0 pounds of lean mass, 21.5 pounds of fat mass. My height is around 5'6.5" just barely 5'7".

Is this good? According to what I've read I am almost in the Athletic range, which is shocking. Maybe I'm self conscious but I was expecting a much higher number, above 20%. I still have a pretty noticeable gut, love handles, man boobs, and flab under my upper arms. Everywhere else(face, forearms, wrists, ankles, shins, ass) is pretty lean and skinny.

I still have a lot of strength gains to go (For about 3-5 reps...deadlifting only 225, squatting around 185, benching a wimpy 125, only 10 pullups weighted +15 pounds, 1 arm dumbbell rowing 75 lbs), and supposedly my BF is in healthy range. But I thinkI have a very big gut and pretty fat still.

I'll try to get pics later tonight when I get home.

either way given my height, weight, and BF of 14.6%, do you think I should continue bulking? cutting?

Report estimated my maintenance calories at 2344 - I have another appointment next week to find my RMR (rest metabolic rate), and other info.

Why don't you post a picture of yourself in a bathing suit--it's always fascinating to me to see how people genetically distribute body fat. I'm convinced people with 10-15% fat can look like athletes, or look like chubby bitches, its all in the dickheaded nature of dna

How much did it run you. I've been out of shape from an injury and am looking to get back, my fat percentage is high I know as I haven't gained weight but I know I'm fatter and I want to do this for piece of mind.

fat? Does that look like 14.6%? I do know that my posture standing up is pretty bad - I always overarch/hyperextend my back and slightly thrust my hips/pelvis forward then standing, which kinda makes my stomach protude out even a bit more. kind of see it happening in the 3rd pic

Based on the pictures, I would have expected 18-20%. You must not carry a lot of fat on your legs and not have a lot of visceral fat.

As to bulking vs cutting, it's going to depend on your goals. I was all geared up to tell you to bulk just based on the numbers, but the pictures indicate you might be well suited by a cut. Getting down to 10% or so is supposed to be good for your body as a whole, you'll be happier with it, and then you can start bulking again.
