Also adjusting music to "your prefferences" is technically wrong. You should adjust it to make up for your system's inadequacies and to reflect whatever was recorded at the studio accurately. This way everything will sound at it's best.

It's puff puff pass

And if it's a decent factory setup, it's probably already pre-EQed for the response of your factory speakers and the car interior, and replacing it with aftermarket could very well sound worse.

I replaced the double-DIN Monsoon head in my GTI with an aftermarket JVC mounted next to my Empeg. It actually took a fair bit of time working on a parametric EQ on the Empeg to end up with something that sounded as good as the stock stereo!

This is my problem, I suspect: my stock unit (the 04 6-disk changer) sounded better than the new unit, especially on the bottom end; so I suspect the old unit was better matched to the speakers and space. Now I have to get speakers and hope they work.

Of course you can have too much amp. For example if it can put out more than your speakers can handle.... That's called a waste.

I'm not sure what your point is, or what you think is wrong of what i said.

He's saying under-amping or going with a crappy amp is worse than over-amping. He forgot to mention that under-amped speakers also create harmonics that feed back into the amp and damage it, and eventually take out the speakers as well.

It's pretty good, adapts well, and has a cool isometric view that even puts big buildings on the map. And it's updatable thru the SD card slot.

This is a function of your inability to choose a decent place to live--most likely because you're too fuckng full of Jew-jizz to actually spend anything on anything decent.

Stupid Fool, you can't take it with you!
