To expond upon this though, I am not an atheist through faith or some internal "feeling" in the way some people are for their religions. I'm simply a skeptic and it seems like the most reasonable option. There is no reason to believe there is a god until I see proof of it.

Used to be ~B.

Now E-F

I cannot completely dismiss the possiblity of a god based on the fact that noone can and probably will ever be able to prove how the universe came to be. But I am 99% sure there is no god, and especially not a god who is a personal god with some concept of afterlife.

Neale Donald Walsch.

look it up.

its G. none of the above.

every human on this earth is in a different level of spiritual awareness, and one is not better than the other. Just like being in the 6th grade is not better than being in the 3rd grade, people are just on different levels of understanding the truth behind the cosmic wheel of life and the science that makes it real.

most agnostics and athiests are only there because modern (and primitive) religions that humans have created are A) not functionable B) false in MANY ways and C) provide no real substance to everyday life and scientific principle

Science in itself is a proof of an afterlife and proof of something unknown... everyday there is more discovered that provides more proof that life is not what religion has taught... in fact, all matters of the spirit and the energy surrounding life cannot be explained or proven through religion (or science)

Most atheists are closer to an actual truth of spirituality, but do not have any basis (religion) to call their beliefs since no one has ever established a truth in the history of time that actually matches the true principle of life and the matter that makes up everything in between. Athiests made their own category, or do not have the mental capacity to fill in the blanks where science has not completed the blanks. Lack of interest in searching for truth does not mean there is not a spiritual aspect in what athiests rely on.

hell, this could go on forever... eventually I will write my book and just leave it at that.

I might fall in between C and D, but even then ... those dont fit what i actually believe. (i use the term believe loosly.... I dont 'believe'... i know. no faith, i just KNOW. i stopped questioning my principles or 'believing' a long time ago, and thus gave up trying to fit a word to lable it with.

To everyone that says there is no "god"...

there is not a God in existance that the religions speak of... true... because religion has created a false god and gave the WORD "god" a bad rep...

"god" is a term that is easier to use than getting metaphysical and categorizing any phenomenal event in history that cannot be answered technically or questioned again with "why" back to an unknown, undiscovered, or unprove-able area of theory....

everytime you believe what you read about proven science or scientific theory, you are still balancing your beliefs on something another person has discovered by thinking outside the box... and trusting their interpretation of their findings... MANY scientists disagree on the findings, too (sounds like different religions in a way) unless you have personally conducted lab experiments to prove such things... you are still trusting (or having "faith") in a theory...

wow, sorry, this is my favorite topic... so I'm sorry to keep rambling about it.

So how to you manage to do it so poorly?

Your use of the word "findings" is vague. (Good) scientists don't dispute results, they dispute conclusions.

poorly = trying to condense a lengthy and complex description into a single paragraph using a simplified example after having a few beers/// would rather use a few sentances then write a novel in a forum... this type of discussion can't really be summed up in one or two sentances.

by "findings" I meant the conclusions... the lab results can be repeated over and over, and YES, sometimes RESULT differently based on how the experiment is conducted, and scientists often dispute the control groups and methods used in the experiment, therfore dispute the physical results of the experiment...
but the actual conclusion, or "finding" from the lab result is what I was originally referring to.

For the most part I am agnostic at this point in my life. There are things that I can't explain, such as aspects of my own existence. I don't think that it's impossible for there to be a deity of some sort, I just don't know which is correct.

That being said, I think that there are several positive factors of each religion and that it's important to recognize those aspects of those particular religions and ideologies.

I'm against any form of extremism, obviously. Further separation of people in this world of continuing globalization is taking strides backwards from the thing that we conceive as "peace."
