Is there a real difference between lowers?

Seriously. It seems like EVERYONE is creating lowers to milspecs nowadays. I've been scouring over AR-15.com and several other boards trying to find differences between receivers.

I'm kind of leaning towards getting a RRA lower probably, but not sure. If I can find a good deal on something else, it's possible.

What's everyone's thoughts?

Most are about the same. There are a few that are different.

Like if you want a polymer lower, Cavalry Arms are the only ones doing those at the moment.

I have one that I'm going to build into a .45acp carbine using grease guns mags similar to this one.

other than some are hi shelf and some are low shelf, no not really.

and what i mean by hi/low shelf is the depth cut into the trigger slot to allow for "Fun" parts like LL and RDIAS.
