my boss had one of these in .17 Mach II and it is a piledriver at 100 yard..

i used to have a Semi-Auto Marlin my dad got me when i was like twelve, someone stoled it but it was pretty accurate for a Wal-Mart gun

Have any of you heard anything or have any experience about the Marlin 39, Anschutz 1710 or the Browning Semi-Auto .22 ?

And Gearhead, dont go crazy lol, just looking for some information on the following guns from people who in no way benefit from giving a good or bad review on them.

And Copejunkie, I briefly checked out the MagnumLite MLR-1722...looks like a pretty good gun.

Mine appears to be aluminum.

there is also this

http://www.browning.com/products/cat...21&type_id=030

i want one really badly... a buddy of mine has a mark III or IV pistol, and i love shooting it, and out of a vice or a sandbag or something, it too is a nail driver.. the only thing it ever needed is a rifle stock... so browning made one for their pistols... i figured it would be pretty fun to have

I used to shoot the browning sa-22 quite a bit when i was younger. It was neat lil take down rifle but you had to be careful not to put your wrist too close to the ejection port on the underside of the rifle. sometimes those lil shells get hot.

id like to get another ,one of these years (mabey i hi grade)

The ejection port on the rifle is on the bottom ?
Thats a little odd isnt it.

Anyways, what can you say about its accuracy at 100yards and stuff like that.

if were both talking about the above rifle, then yes it does. as far as being odd, well i duno, always thought it kind of a neat feature On the older rifles the rear sights were kinda small and cheesy. Accuracy was very good as i remember, especially with a scope though. Im guessing its do to the really good feel and balance the rifle has on the shoulder.

i dont have any numbers though as the last time i shot one was some time in the early 80's. so you could say its been a while ..

My friend has an old ass version of that, with iron sights and everything that his grandfather gave to him, it's pretty awesome indeed.

about as accurate as you can expect a .22 to be at 100 yards? You have to compensate for quite a bit of bullet drop at that range for any .22, even my ruger when Im out varminting, most of my shots are within 50 yards.

I've heard of the "new" ass version, but not the "old" ass version or the standard ass version
