Blizzard with a NEW IP? Got some questions?

Has it been totally squashed that Blizzard will not have a New IP anytime soon?

If not has anybody thought that the Evil penguin possibly is a sign or was it just something to throw us all of?

If the penguin was something to throw us off from Diablo 3. Then what about the new IP being a console game that Blizzard is co developing with Activision?

Just wanting to know?

er, all i remember was that blizz had three projects with three separate codenames.

one was the wow expansion i think, another was sc2, and the last one turned out to be diablo3. they could probably be hiding something, which isn't surprising, considering sc2 was kept under wraps since wc3:tft was released

Why would they chance a new IP when they haven't even come close to even tapping their currently official IPs? There is plenty of remaining blood to be squeezed out of the Warcraft IP, not even going to mention any of the others.

They already have 3 games in development, you think they can handle another one and keep to their high standards of quality?

As greedy as I want to be, I always expect a high standard from blizzard and will continue to expect as such, even if they develop more than usual

they are working on WoW, WotLK, SC2, D3, and a next-gen MMO, so that's 4-5 games that we know of. It's nieve to think they are not constantly working on new IP.

yeah, money isn't important; it's the WANT. they want to!!!

edit: my point is that *wanting* to develop 4 or more *quality* games at the same time isnt enough. you have to have money.

I heard their new IP is called Stars of Diablo World, to be followed by the expansion pack Stars of Diablo World: Lord of the Burning Brood.

but seriously, what I want to know is how they plan to release Diablo 3 with WoW still in an upswing. They said they plan to release at least 4 more xpacs after wotlk, and it's a inevitable that a huge WoW demographic will switch over to Diablo 3, which sports a much less profitable pricing model. I wonder what they're thinking...

nah, Diablo 3 will make players spend less time with WoW, but I am guessing most won't give up their subscriptions to play Diablo 3. D3 is not an MMO so my guess is most players will keep their WoW accounts and play both games.

I mean you could say the same thing about Starcraft II.. theoretically people might quit wow to play it.

well I take it back I guess, looks like Blizzard is confirming that they are working on a 4th game, an MMO not related to Warcraft or Diablo. New IP or SC?
