Well, concessions can be made to allow only licensed companies to distribute, and make the licensing so complicated/expensive that only big companies can get it.

Hey, it beats the current situation.

Why did I pay £2.62 for this title?

They are trialing it in the UK for medical purposes. You don't get high off it or anything, they just use the active ingredients

And it failed miserably.
My state is mostly full of rednecks and hippies. Hippies get it onto the ballots and rednecks vote it down.

Did you know that it's a felony to use drugs "not in a method for which they are intended" ?
The same clause should apply to marijuana, if it's passed medicainally. The vast vast majority of smokers would still be breaking the law.

When two guys tried to steal my car and kill me, I was too quick and proceeded to ownz0r their plan.

I was reading something a while back about how when medicinal marijuana is issued out to patients, they don't want to give people the best marijuana they have. Supposably they want to decrease the quality of marijuana that is used for medicinal purpose. What kind of is that? I don't see how that does any good, especially when it's medicinal. I believe the medicinal marijuana they had was 17% pure, but they issued out the one that was only 5%

if the big companies start to manufacture it prerolled they'll add all of this shit to it just like they did tobacco.

I say just make it legal period and let people grow if they want or whatever.

On a sidenote, I don't think you can blame the entire drug war on any political faction or any politician.

No seriously though ... There should be some real, scientifically proven reason not to smoke it, besides "You can get arrested", and every kid should know it or it should be made legal.

well it's the same as tobacco...it's bad for you.

not to mention when smoked in large quantities it impairs your judgment.

Regulate it much like Alcohol. (~20ish legal age) Driving under influence (A noticable influence, lots of people can drive high fairly well...just not totally baked.)
Have the entire production industry government owned. (Everything except the farming/harvesting.)
Sell the marijuana in both bag form, and machine rolled Joints. (Much like cigarettes.)
Charge about $10 for an 1/8th oz. with a $2-3 tax. (Just a guess)
Have all the money generated from the tax go to medical research and hospitals or needed socal programs. (Having the money go to schools would also be a good idea)

I agree with you on the legalizing, but I think it should be allowed to be a free market product, especially hemp (for its 80,000 different applications).

I hear they're doing the same thing in Oregon. From the terms you used I bet you saw it on O'Reilly like I did.

The house turned it down. They feel it spreads the the message that the evil marijuana is actually good. It's a shame these people aren't allowed to use a drug in their own homes to save their lives in the land of life and liberty.

Argg, these idiots! Can anyone get a link of how they voted? I'm poised to tear my rep. a new asshole. I just know he voted it down, I live in a very conservative area.
