Taking the bike in for some standard chain maintenance tomorrow. Should be quick and painless, unless i need a new chain (which is a 50/50 possibility). If so i might as well spring for new sprockets, too....

Chain maintenance is about the easiest thing to do. Save yourself the $50 and do a google search.

In other news, saw this posted on BARF. Asshole in a pickup tries to run a motorcyclist off the road. Confrontation at the end, all caught on video.

http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=Vid00012.mp4

From the comments:

Quote:
The pickup driver was arrested for reckless driving, DUI and the DA is using the video to consider reckless endangerment and possibly attempted murder charges. If convicted of all charges the pickup driver could get up to 24 years in jail. That's unlikely but he will likely see a felony conviction and jail time for his life threatening antics. Jerk.
Had a very similar incident happen on SR-76 just past Palomar Mountain near the hide out last summer. Idiot in a pickup nearly ran myself, Trachei (on this forum), and several other guys off the road because he didn't like being passed. Nutjobs

i know. but i have absolutely no room to do anything to my bike here.....actually that day, someone else parked so close to my bike that i mounted from the right side, and couldnt even get my left foot on the ground to get out of the parking spot.

day after that i had to physically lift and shift the guys PS250 over that had parked ON TOP of my right peg. scratched the shit out of my tail.... X(

a paid parking spot starts at $340 USD a month. Shop charged me $20 bucks and washed my bike, too. Fair deal, i say. Id love to do the work myself, i worked on all of my and my friends cars in the US.....theres just no place to do it here.

It's a bit cramped. I installed bar risers and am looking into lower pegs (Buell Ulysses)
Oh and the seat is garbage

The power and handling are nice though, reminds me a lot of my old ZZR600. Wanted a Versys but found this for $2k.

I did some double trading with my local ducati/ktm dealer...

I wanted to rid myself of that shitty BMW G450x suspension and traded it in for a 2008 KTM 690 Enduro for my colorado/moab/tat trips. This thing is a wheelie machine

Traded my R6 in for a 2011 Ducati 848 EVO, can't wait to get this thing out on the track.

My collection is complete! for now....

Yeah, I plan on getting super moto wheels for the 690. Rode my friend's Ducati Hyper around the track, fun bike.

Went to TN/NC earlier this month. Perfect roads for my SV1K. Rolled over 23k miles too

Need to get real springs for my front forks and lose about 30lb so I fit the 180lb rear shock a little better. I feel like my old SV650 turned better and I was way to heavy for that.

Speaking of my old 650, where's the guy that bought it on here?
