Nope, they fixed that. Try the new version. Lots of games work, including Mario Kart (one of the ones that had ridiculously slow frame rates before and/or would crash).

The only emulation I did with the PS2 was for fighters and a hyperspin cabinet I was building. Worked great!

shadow of the colossus

Shadow of the Colossus runs like ass most of the time (i've tried everything ), it's hardly playable (to my standards). Almost all other games run at full speed for me.

I'm about to try FF XII

I tried running Okami in it's native resolution on PS2 emulation about 3 months ago, but it ran too slow to play.

And my comp is an octo-core nehalem workstation with 9gb of ram and the 216core gtx 260....

Anti-aliasing sure does wonders for old games.

I was playing Okami last night, it plays at full speed and looks great :P

It also depends on which builds of plugins you use.

These PS2 games look better on the emulator because the textures are being upscaled and 3d is being rendered at a higher resolution. Anti-aliasing wouldn't be as effective if the other factors weren't true.

which plugins did you use?

and when you say full speed, do you mean a constant 60?

Cause I was getting like 50-60... which in most instances is playable, but on the emulator I was using, when it dropped even down to just 55 fps this meant everything in the game was processing at less than fullspeed which resulted in audio stuttering, and the gameplay slowing down. Which kinda ruined it.
