Plastidip looks good and is inexpensive why go to such extremes just so I can have a conventional paint job that is just going to get spattered with bird squirrel rat shits, leaves sticks and branches? I would have to wash the car twice a damn week.

Because Plastidip looks like shit, and is soft enough that it will look even worse within a few months.

Plasti-Dip if done right can look quite nice and remain durable. Still not as good as a proper prep and gloss paint solution, but a good matte finish for sure. Due to being soft/elastic, it actually holds up rather-well to the likes of rock-chipping. Any damage can be touched up easily unless you used a custom-mix color.

We're planning to dip my wife's Jeep Cherokee; I feel more-confident in getting a uniform matte finish with Plasti-Dip than with proper paint.

Sway bar end link ripped off of the strut. End link bent like 20* probably by my tire. So apparently ive been swaybarless for several thousand miles. Good to know.

Did it rip the tab off, or pull the ball out of the socket?

You should probably also look at the spots on the underside of the car where the sway bar attaches to the chassis. Having the bosses for the sway bar tear out of the bottom side of the chassis was a fairly common thing, especially with upgraded stiffer sway bars.

I'd have to hear it in motion to be sure, but I kinda like that.

It still has that weird musical sound that it does on the 350Z, though. I wonder how that's accomplished.
