Well if you are a history buff, I have probably one of the first portable ones. The rectangular ones with the plastic battery casing you screw onto the side for extended power lol.

I don't know the model since it's been in a box some where for the last 10 years but it's there alright. I can find it if you are interested in old school rofl.

God knows how much I paid for it =| lolololololololol.

You find anything yet?

I've got an MZ-R700. It has a couple small scratches in the paint/annodizing. It does digital and analog recording and I have a usb connector + toslink to get mp3s > MD player optically. Making MDs this way is slow, but even at LP4 the sound quality is acceptable. Alkaline batteries last retardedly long. I also have 5-10 MDs that can go with it. I think I would keep the headphones, cuz I like them.

I'm not going to give it away for 50$, so let me know if you would even want it.

I had an MZ-R50... man I loved that thing. I bought it for $225 new and sold it on ebay for $200 about three years ago. I wish I still had it though...
