I needed more fuel. So now I'll have more fuel (pics)

While my heads are still getting worked over, I decided to upgrade my fuel system from the twin 255 L/hr pumps to triple 255's. I dropped the tank and finally get to install this billet beauty:

and today the rest of my fittings and hose arrived.
10-AN Feed to a 10-Micron inline filter, then split to 2 8-AN feeds (one for each fuel rail) , and then an 8-AN return.

This will be enough fuel for whatever I end up doing (still thinking about going E85). I can't wait to get down to the shop and button it all up.

Oh and yeah, I know it's been fovever since I last worked on the truck. That's the great part about having a second vehicle; no pressure.

Will do, but the Walbros have been a staple of built Lightnings for years and they seem to do just fine. Seen a couple of cases with bad ones, but pretty few and far between.

You gonna be able to get a Fore? I thought they stopped production and another company picked up their design.

We put a Fore Triple in my buddies Cobra a while back. It's a shame such a beautiful piece of artwork/engineering gets completely covered up once you put it on your tank.

We were joking about cutting a hole in the trunk and putting a lexan window in there just to show it off.

That's a lotta money too. Those Fore Fuel Hats are like $450 alone. Then you add the pumps, y block, fittings, hoses.

When my friend did his (he used 2 Ford GT pumps) he spent about 2 grand for the whole shebang.

You got that right

I've had the Fore hat for over a year now. With the 76mm setup I just needed the twins, but I stepped up the snail and my heads are getting hogged out to the max so I felt it was time to go to triples for insurance, and if I head to E85 I may need them.

One thing I wish we would have done is convert it to return style.

Oh well, the thing puts down nearly 700hp/700tq at the wheels and the fuel pump duty cycles only topped out at 80%. Plenty more room and I don't think we are gonna want to make this car go any faster.

He completely smoked a Corvette ZR1 on an empty stretch of highway the other night. And that was with his 3" pulley on pump gas tune. Nowhere near the power we had it dyno'ed with, the 2.7" pulley and race tune with torco accelerator.

Funny enough the turbo setup netted me 18 on the highway, and that was at 713 at the wheels. Snails sip compared to superchargers. Now, once I get into boost? Lol... I don't care. It's worth it.
