Axes, tomahawks anyone?




New Cold Steel Trail Hawk and a re-done Cold Steel Pole Axe.

The pole axe are on clearence for $29.99 now. Come with a 6ft Ash handle. I shortened it and stained it dark walnut and added a coat of spar varnish.

my dad is a hobbyist blacksmith, when i was younger he took me to a blacksmith meeting and the demonstration was how to make tomahawks and knifes
then the demonstrator taught me how to throw 'em, did that shit all day, i got pretty good

i'd like to get one now...

Nice, how does the handle feel in your hand? Good grip? Looks a lil small but I have nothing to compare the handles size with,

My father has some real tomahawks from the 1800's I will try and get pics soon..they are in amazing shape..

Heres my Damascus hawk. it has a rawhide lace wrap on the haft.




This is a hawk from great River Forge(not my pic). It is getting the same burn pattern as the damascus hawk and has a Veg-tan wrap on the haft(both on the lower portion of the haft and right under the head. I take some pics of it tomorrow)
