What are the steps for me, in FL, to get a full auto mp5? Start to finish, including wait times and prices?

ANYTHING H&K makes is going to be expensive...

so with that in mind ( and knowing ive never diligently priced one) i wanna say their around 15 to the mid to high 20's. but they could be higher as MG prices climb yearly. Waite times can be anywhere from 3 months to over a year start to finish. But from what ive been told your first one always takes the longest.

As far as the overall (general) process it would be far easier to to just talk to a local dealer. As oppoed to me writing a 5 page thread ( yea in lazy )Hell some will bend backwards just to get your sale.

But in short your first step besides finding a dealer with the stuff you want and having him set things up would be to have a sit dow with your local sherif. Then convince him your not a meth head or child beater so he will do an atf form 4 sign off. From there its more or less cut a $200 check to the atf, waite some more and then with atf permission slips in hand pay the rest you owe on your weapon and take it home. thats the VERY basics of it,

Those here that have actually gone through the whole process can go in greater detail than i. Back when i had money i was looking at grabbing a c&r mg as thats whay my state would only allow. But you live in florida so i wouldnt expect it to be much more complicated than above, as your state is rather mg friendly.

i hope this makes sense

Yeah, M14s are nowhere near 30k. That's like M60 territory.

M14s are around 13-15k.

@ Dhermit: Assemble around 13K to pay for a MP5, then contact a Class III Dealer. Here's a list, there's a bunch of Florida ones.

[Edit] Nevermind, had the wrong chart.

Original M14:

Reweld and M1A converts:

Looks like my estimates were off by a few months now that I checked em, too.

(Got these charts from MG Price Guide, by the way. Great site.)
