ok, so a couple weeks ago my firewall in SP2 just stopped working and i have had the little red sheild on the bottom right side of my screen for a while:



so i have tried before to see if i can set it up again, but it didnt work then and isnt working now:







and i have tried over and over again and i still get the same thing

so i tried to go through network places and work it out:


same shit

any one have the same problem or can help me?

Is the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing(ICS) service set to disabled ?

start > run > services.msc

double click the ICS service, go to dependancies tab, check that all the corresponding services are running.

try refreshing the tcp/ip stack

run this on the command line

netsh int ip reset backup.txt
