i agree about those facebook games, i mean facebook games started my chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool and all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school when a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said "you're moving with your aunt and uncle in Bel-Air"

Sports and porn have ruined marriages, should we take those off the Internet?
Should WoW be banned? or Everquest?

Just because some people don't have self control doesn't mean it should be removed.

i don't think that you can use Facebook for example only when you study at the college and not when you become an adult... I think that it depends from the persons and from the personalities.
I'm 28 years old and I work and I'm often online in Facebook, but most of the time I have the page opened and work.
For me the Facebook games are a good solution for chilling and relaxing a little bit during the days.

I understand, its just you'd think gamers in general would be a bit more accepting when traditional non gamer types are getting more and more exposure to the hobby.

Speaking personally, the more Farmville my wife plans the less she has any room to complain about my gaming habits

Its worth noting that every notifcation sent to the News Feed is done so manually and not automagically through the game. So its not the games fault but the game(r). Also, if one does not want to ever see these messages again, they can click on it and block for good.

yes, it's true, you can block the applications like you can also block the people. the only disadvantage is that you also can't find that person or that application anymore.
i've needed a long time before i've decided about playing farmville and before i had blocked it. looking for it has been an adventure hehe

I didn't know you could use paysafecard with Facebook games, that's something new. I'm not even sure if I'm glad to hear that because I'm sure that I'm gonna waste some money again...
Farmville and co are so addictive, all my class is plays it and even our professor does!

I think the same thing, too. But if you pay a little bit attention, you also can spend only little sums every month.
Referring to Farmville I can tell you that I know some Italian sport journalists and actors (I love that country) and that they also play with Farmville. And two neighbours are at the levels 65 and 64 I think...

Knowing me I can't ' spend only little sums every month.' I won't get away from my laptop till all the money is gone if I start buying things online. :S Good news - if the ammout of the money on my not bigger than Ģ 10, I'm not bankrupt in 10 minutes.
celebrities are also humans, they also need to waste their time in some way.

Facebook games

Facebook games are fine to relax a little you can even play them at the office (you only have to turn your speakers off!) From time to time I buy some special item but only for small amounts! I used a paysafecard for uploading my Skype account, I didīnt know that I can use it for Facebook games too!

You talk like a really well built bot. (or a real human being, who the heck knows)

also, facebook games are the bane of my existence. Go ahead and play them but for me, playing games that are basically mmos that just web load pages is not my definition of fun.

if she lacks self-control, some other small game or something would have caught her attention eventually. the problem isn't the game or Facebook...
