Help with my LS430 subwoofer replacement?

I just don't enjoy it. When the Mark Levinson subwoofer is high in volume, at half bass it just goes bland.....and fluberry.

I found this link via google as a replacement, if yall can give some insight or a better recommendation.......

Also, if you can comment on what I was told about the LS430, is that I would need a 5th order bandpass set up just to get bass in the cabin??? That I cannot just throw a few 10's and an amp and it sound good in the cabin.

Why do LS430's specifically buy that one over others?

Does anyone provide dimensions of the factory opening?

At least then you can determine what will and will not fit.
Have you looked at Infiniti, Kenwood, or Boston Acoustics?

Does Nakamichi sell components?

1) check the ohm rating on your ML sub
2) isn't your ML sub a free-air dealio?
3) it could just be that the surround deteriorated, you can actually use a hot glue gun or silicone caulk to fix the tear and get the ML back up to proper

Yeah I saw the how to on the glue, but my sub is just fine. Just a horrid sub to begin with.

So since no one has commented on the 5th order bandpass, I figure I would just swap it out.
