You should play some Halo I hear it's great

I feel the same way about new FPS's, but for me it was TFC that got me hooked. I got my fair share out of Q2 though.

FPS games arent as fast-paced as they used to be. My theory is that it's been slowed down and prettied up to appeal to a broader audienc. I'm with you though, Quake is addictive as shit and requires a lot of skill.

TF2 scout is pretty quick

I used to play TF / megaTF for Quake back in the day... overall felt a lot faster than TF2, but ever since those original TF days the only games I've enjoyed since then are CS, MW2, and TF2. TFC never caught on for me.

Waiting for that fateful day of bannage, c'mon Kyle be a man and push the button you big fairy.

It's called "growing up". I probably put in over 10,000 hours on Quake 2. Weapons Factory, Action Quake 2, Rocket Arena. But then again I was 13-14 and had nothing better to do. You always look back on the days when you didn't have any other stress than how to blow people up more efficienctly as though they were halcyon.

Play Quakelive... www.quakelive.com its free and you play quake 3 right in your browser.

I have recently become hooked on it again and theres actually a decent playerbase.

I was a huge Q3 fan, but I want the full experience of q3 in Quake Live for free. I don't want to pay for extra content that was already available in Quake 3.

edit: Warsow looks awesome!
