Driving it now - Now to finish it

Made my driving deadline - barely. My overall goal was to drive this bitch from Dallas to Austin last week for a big car show. I finally started it on Monday for the first time, Drove it for first time on Tuesday, Put it on Hwy for the first time on Wednesday, then drove it 250 miles to Austin on Thursday.

Car did good. Rear wheel is bent and starts vibrating about 75 or 80 - get to find a new wide five early ford wheel or two now. And my heads are garbage. Guy I bought them from said they were freshly rebuilt and ready to go and I trusted him. Either he was screwed over and didn't know it, or he screwed me over knowingly. I went through 6 quarts of oil last weekend and 6 of my 8 plugs our fouling - 3 of them badly to the point where I had to stop and either clean then or change them completely 3 times on my way home on Sunday. But, I made it there and back safely and without running into a semi headon at 60mph like i did last year.

Redemption achieved. Nice man!
Hope the heads aren't too screwed. That's a ton of oil to burn through.

It gets worst. This is my #5, 7, and 8 plugs after 130 miles.

You know that the valve guides are supposed to have seals over the top of 'em, right?

Went through 6+ quarts going to Austin and back from Dallas. Most of it blowing raw out my left bank. Went to my shop last night and spent evening tearing down motor so I could take heads off and have reworked. Hopefully they can be reworked.

Here's my motor as of 10:00 last night.

Either that, or you have a TON of blow-by. Hopefully you got a decent set of O-Rings?

Ended up being the wrong valve seals in the heads. Forced me into a valve job. Got them back, and not eating oil or fowling plugs. Have a good 300+ miles on it since valve job and running like a champ.
