Mother Fcking Network

I can't stand it. I have one Windows 98 computer and I'm trying to network for a shared printer with my win XP machine... and I can't stand messing with it anymore. I can't get the damn machines to show up on either side. WTF can I do.. any tips?

Can you ping them? Are they conencted directly? If so make sure you are using a crossover cable.
