This is what Bush is doing to our Freedoms and Country!

I have some questions about LCD monitors.

Every LCD I've seen hooked up to a PC has had a strange stretched-pixel look, like when you increase an image file by 33% or something without antialiasing turned on. Is this INHERENT in that kind of monitor, or is it caused by them having it set up weirdly?

As it is, the stretched thing is what is preventing me from buying one, in spite of the space I would save.

Thanks for the help!

Most LCD's have a "native" resolution that they llook best at. I still say that LCD technology has a long way to go, but a good trouble free and high quality one would be the dell 1800fp (is that the right model???).

Not everyone runs their monitor at its native resolution, which causes the phenomenon you're talking about. Turning on ClearType will also reduce jagginess in text.

I think a 17" LCD will be an awesome purchase in a few months. I just wish more companies made widescreen desktop LCDs.
