I'm gonna try this out for a few weeks.

Yesterday was my first day and today I'm about to indulge in my first meal of the day (at 3:35PM). I plan on doing all of my working out/eating in a window of 3PM-9PM.

Key staple foods: Turkey burgers (at least 2 per day.. 35g protein each) , whey protein shake with oats, natty peanut butter, wheat bread, brown rice cakes, eggs, almonds, subway 12" chicken footlong on wheat... also possibly some brown rice

Main goals are to switch it up and try something new, also to get a bit leaner.

I'm 5'10 and 148lbs.. last year around this time I was about 130lbs and really skinny.

Sorry bodybuilding gawds, didn't mean to cause an uproar I'm completely starving myself and i'll be anaroxeic before not too long. 150 LBS *GASP* If you get this message - fedex me a cheeseburger ASAP

I'm normally around the 8% bf mark and i'm probably inching closer to 11-12% now. I want to shed a few pounds before I start eating 3000+ cals per day again.

I'm quite the similar build. Same height/weight/single-digit bf%, but I run so goddamn much. I run every day, but I do make some time for lifting weights as well. I'm going to try upping the weights and decreasing the reps, to see if I can actually build mass despite my running regime. So far so good...I'm now barely above 150 lbs, where before I wouldn't weigh 150lbs soaking wet, and I'm actually increasing the weights while keeping the reps the same. Like I said before, I've been doing the one-meal-a-day thing for years.

most chocolate flavored shakes taste like butt when you mix them with water.

go for fruit flavored shakes. i'm really liking banana cream, and i'm about to tear into a tub of strawberry banana. both are optimum nutrition brand.

I know, I always mix the ON chocolate with water. I dont drink milk. It always tastes just fine to me.

I wouldnt mind trying the Whey mixes, but I am lactose intolerant. Wont those kinds of mixes cause me issues then?

That has always been the reason for me staying away from them..

Oh and Vendetta, I have read through this whole thread, and I must say the level of commitment to this current "diet" is absolutely amazing...if i had the guts, I would love to try it..But concerned I wouldnt get very far.

I've been doing this on and off for years and it works great. I'm not in amazing shape or anything but it works great for me keeping in good shape and it's worked well for losing weight and maintaining muscle. Btw have you tried dymatize whey? that's my fave.
