Was just diagnosed with mono...AGAIN

So last December I was lifting weights eating alot of food, bulking up, and was looking really healthy. Then all of a sudden I got mono and rapidly lost 20 pounds, missed 3 months of school, it was fucking terrible and life changing. It took me a while to get over the fatigue, but I made it and got most of my energy back. Well 2 weeks ago I had a really bad sinus infection, and then a week later it developed into a bad sore throat. I expected it was just a virus, but I decided to stop by the doctor anyways. A few blood tests later and boom I have fucking mono again. Has anyone ever experienced this? Mono TWICE? I feel fine now, I almost feel like I was misdiagnosed, but I am really not looking forward to the shitstorm I had with my last case of mono. If you have dealt with mono twice is it not as harsh the second time? Thanks for your help...

-@ the gym, clean off the equipment with disinfectant before you use and wash yourself well after working out
-try not to touch your eyes, nose and mouth so much, you just spread germs
-wash your hands on a regular basis
-don't share drinks, and avoid sharing food
-don't make out with people the first night you meet them
-try not to touch your food when you eat it, use a fork or sandwich wrapper
-if someone is sneezing, get the hell away from them
-avoid all public places! (lol joe biden)

I've never known someone to get mono twice. I'd say it's user error.
What are you doing? and Who are you hanging out with? (serious)

You might want to take a closer look at your personal hygiene. Ehh...Yuck, man. This thread makes me want to go and wash my hands...

I believe there are two main types of mono, one being more severe, one mild. Typically, once you get one type, you won't get that type again.

I found this out when I had a mild type of mono once and researched it, it lasted just over a week for me and wasn't severe, had the build up of white shit in the throat and such, hard to swallow.

mono, like almost all viruses, will remain in your system forever. Mono has the ability to flare up, although this is unusual.

It's likely you never got over it in the first place.

if you have mono then your spleen is swollen. Lifting and anything else could possibly pop your spleen, and you'll die a painful, drawn out death.
