How to have a Drive / Motivation

Sounds kinda weird but when I found out my girlfriend cheated on me and left me for another guy I was so motivated to be a better person. (I guess this was a childish attempt at look at me now im a ......) When I heard the news I was so motivated to correct my faults. I never ended talking to her again but I ended up keeping myself busy by working out consistently, and going to school. Well I seemed to lost the motivation after a few months, and im looking for that same kind of drive again.

1. Girlfriend cheated on me and left me for another guy.
2. Was never so motivated in my life to do something with myself.
3. Looking for that same kind of motivation.

OH MY GOD!!! I LOVE SUCKING COCK!!!!!

Keeping busy is a defence mechanism that people use in times of emotional duress. I do it and I have seen others do it, usually starts with cleaning.

You do not want the same kind of motivation. A defence mechanism is good at its time, but not something you want to try and dig up again. What you want now is purpose. What you do not want is the advice that it needs to come from within.

Keep it simple. Set short term realistic goals and work on longer term stuff from there.

^ this

as far as being motivated to continue to workout, find someone else to workout with. accountability is enough to get me up in the morning, especially if i know someone else is getting up for me.

Crazy! I know I've been using defense mechanisms and the like recently, but I didn't realize my cleaning might be part of it. Very interesting...

DL some Anthony Robbins and actually follow what he says.
He's made himself tacky as hell, but the stuff he delivers is extremely effective if you actually do what he tells you to.

Motivation comes from within, always. Certain times things will just click and I have a burning desire to accomplish whatever it is I'm motivated to do. If I really want it and I think I can pull it off, then I will eat, sleep and dream whatever it is until I'm there. If not, then its a hell of a task keeping up with anything.

Any specific suggestions? Curious to get my drive up, though the 5 minute exercise is pretty good.

If there is something you don't want to do, do it as productively as possible for 5 minutes, then stop if you want to. Generally, you'll be ready to keep going.

Get The Edge
Personal Power

Personal Power is the older version of Get The Edge but still has some great stuff in it.

Will get some Anthony Robbins tapes, and will make small goals. Dont want to bring up the past but man that was such a surge in motivation that I have experienced, I really hope I could achieve that caliper.

Read Atlas Shrugged. If you're even remotely close to a human being, that'll get you motivated for a while.
