Been under the weather lately but still made it to all 3 days this week. Funny enough my set of 3 squats @ 230lbs was a struggle until I realized I was using a 60lb bar instead of a 45lb
I was going to blame the sickness until I realized that.

Hit 285lbs x 5 for deadlifts and 135lbs x 5 on military press, so at a plate on each side

Still eating and lifting strong, just been busy so haven't been updating a whole lot. I'm in the middle of week 7 with one more day to go, tomorrow I'll hit 200lbs x 5 for bench and 235lbs x 5 on squats.

Now that you're half way through how do you feel? Your lifts are obviously getting better and better, but weight wise you've gained 2lbs in 6 weeks. What does the mirror say, do you look more muscular?

Actually I gained 2 lbs in the last two weeks, plus 2 lbs in the first four weeks probably cause my diet wasn't as heavy as it is now, so a total of 4lbs (probably 5 or 6 total after this week).
I feel each week proves more challenging in some exercises and others are easier than the previous week; for instance last week I struggled on military press and deadlifting was easy but this week it was backwards, barely hit my deadlift and crushed the military press. Squats are kind of always mid-difficulty, not a huge struggle but definitely not easy, probably have to give 85 - 90%. I did fail the last rep on Monday's bench (195lbs) but finished with a small spot.

Funny thing I barely look at myself in the mirror these days whereas before i would look every day and was concerned with what I looked like so I guess I feel more confident now? Definitely can tell more muscle, specifically in the back/chest. Abs are fairly larger but there's a little more fat so it's hard to tell, oh and my thighs are way larger than before, probably because before I got on this program I was mostly front squatting, I love looking at them the most

I think at in 5 more weeks (end of the 12 week plan) I'm going to get a good spotter to watch my form and hit 1RM on Squats/bench/deadlifts to see where I stand on competition numbers, if I am close to 900 total I will probably compete towards the October/November time frame in the 148lb weight class. Aiming for a 315lb squat, 240lb bench, and 350lb dead lift by that time frame.

So I guess I'm saying to anyone who wants to do something similar go for it! You will stop caring about the stupid little things you see in the mirror and feel way more confident in yourself (at least I have) while in my opinion getting healthier. I am 100% satisfied with this program.


Since I posted this reply I'll post what I've eaten today:

12oz 2% milk
2 slices whole wheat bread
2tbsp all natural peanut butter
8oz ground sirloin burger with cheese
2oz mixed nuts
banana
yogurt
going to have another mid-day snack in an hour
Ribs and sweet potatoes for dinner
some ice cream for dessert

Been consistently hitting 3000 cals a day by the way.

Thanks, weighed myself yesterday for S&G and I'm at 151.5 so 1.5lbs gained this week? I'll weigh again tonight to be sure, maybe I had to poop or something...

Finishing up week 7 tonight, my numbers will be:
Squat: 3x 235lbs
Bench: 3x 200lbs
Power Clean: 3x 155lbs

Finished up week 7 with my first failure on the last rep of bench, almost made it to half way and I just couldn't do it so my spotter had to do the finger touch. Sucks but it had to happen I guess. Finished my container of Banana Creme ON Whey and went with a 5lb tub of Cake Batter flavor of ON Whey which is way better than Banana, probably the best flavor I've had yet.
2/3 done with the program, still eating 3000 - 3300 calories a day and looking forward to the last 1/3 of the program!

Monday's workout sucked unfortunately, failed on last rep of bench again and could barely get power cleans up. Guess I'm starting to feel the routine or just had a bad day.
Coqui and others that have done something similar to Madcow, if I keep failing on the last set should I reset and start at week 1 with current 5RM or keep pushing on to the end? I guess I'm not sure if failure on last set is good or not...

I normally went back one week and pushed on. Unfortunately, that was after I had finished with the program and was just continuing on beyond week 9
