I'm just jelly of the kewl kids roaring past me with their fart pipes sticking out of dat awesome rear diffuser that's painted to almost match the rest of the car, and aftermarket manufacturer stickers proudly displayed on the back window. Super jelly..

i don't think u could handle it if I pulled up next to you

I have all that plus oversized rimz/tires, a compromised suspension and engine modifications designed by a person residing in this country illegally

pass side rear caliper took a shit. I think the inner pad was probably installed incorrectly. the raised "bump" on the metal backer needs to slot inside one of the recesses on the piston. can see that the piston is positioned incorrectly, the recesses should be vertical. guy who sold me the car has spares, he dropped it off at my office for me to install. Could make an argument that he should have done the install, I was promised a "trouble free" MR2, and he inspected the brakes and said they looked fine prior to delivery but... I'm not bothered. Nice to get my hands dirty.

finished after dark... I cleaned the wheel very thoroughly, it had a lot of built up sludge on it

inner pad worn at an angle. the outer pad was fine.

lower intercooler coupler popped off after two days of 100+ degree heat (( the monday immediately after those two 100+ degree days during my morning commute..... ))

it has happened on all previous MR2's so... not really surprised, the timing just sucks ass

tried to fix it at the side of the road with shit tools, failed, pulled over and tried to get back into it again, but by this point the engine was fully up to operating temp, right hand is already cut up and blood blistered to shit so I putted home, kept rpms under 2k.

deer watching me

ubered to work and dealt with it later that evening

Guessing that my pals who did the swap did not get the clamp fully behind the flange before cinching it down... How it lasted so long in that state will remain a mystery.

It was also an annoyingly tiny clamp (2.25) despite being provided by the manufacturer of the IC kit, BAAAAAARELY able to get over the flange, impossible in such a hard to access location. I swapped it out to a 2.5 to make it easier to put on in the future...

got a deal on PowerStop "evolution" front + rear rotor and pad sets. brakes that I got with the car were dodgy, rotors glazed.

did a little bit of bedding on the freeway back from the shop, they feel pretty good.

also had them sawzall one of the rear towhooks off because my fartcan was knocking into it.
