Why would ammo prices go up over this? Other than companies capitalizing on ignorant(<------key word here) gun nuts who think the sky is falling.

As far as AWB sometime in our future, buying your toys before such things happen is not a bad idea. But I dont see some kind of ban on ammunition, since .223, and .308 are legitimate sporting cartridges, and I simply cant see how they could justify banning a cartridge altogether.

There is enough of a voice out there that support gun rights that anti-gun legislature isnt going to simply steamroll its way through the courts. While I definitly agree with a democratic supermajority being possible, another AWB could be coming, but Im also not seeing a whole lot of super liberal dems getting elected in senate either, so Im not going to say that our gun rights are in serious jeopardy, especially after the 2nd amendment ruling went in our favor last spring.

So, before I get flamed by the people on the far right, let it be known, I am a gun owner, I support gun rights, and I hate exteme liberals, but I do not believe in getting my panties in a wad over this either. You withered through the 90's, were gonna wither through whatever is coming this time. Stock up on guns and ammo, not like most of us werent going to regardless of the election outcome , and you should be fine. But personally, im not going to support retailers who try to take advantage of people panicking and inflating prices for ammo and other items, even if that means loading all of my ammo myself.
