You can bleed the brakes with 12 inches of like, quarter inch hose, a water bottle and the correct wrench to crack open the bleeder valve using the scissor jack that came with your car. Get your gf/bf/roommate/stranger press the brakes.

Top up your engine oil.

If your oil is any bit low, a burn around an autocross track will let you know - when your oil pressure light pops on during a prolonged sharp turn. You probably don't want that.

my very first autocross was in '01 or so, had a guy that had brought out a brand new Z06, had 600 miles on it
he pushed it too hard without the trac lock on, ended up whipping out in a patch of sand, hit a curb at the very edge of the course and flew over the curb and onto the other side.
ended up taking huge chunks out of both passenger side wheels

Thanks for all the helpful advice. Car is clean, brakes were bled (fluid looked pretty dark), everything is out of the car, coolant was topped off, oil is almost to max (I'll top it off in the morning). I'll be checking and adjusting tire pressure in the morning when they're cold, since I've been driving around a bit today. Any recommendations for GoPro location and angle? I'll try to check the thread before I set it up tomorrow

Make sure you watch it in HD

That was my best run, and last. I kept trying to carry too much speed and was understeering all the time for my first couple runs. I can't figure what cone I hit in that run.

The two things that jump out at me:
I should have run a wider line around 0:29-0:30
I should have slowed down more and taken a tighter line at the turn at 0:40. I understeered through that and I don't think I set myself up as well for the next time.

Advice and criticism is welcome!

I bled the brakes and a ton of air came out. The fluid was dirty, too. Pedal feel definitely improved. Now I've got to replace a radiator hose

Oh come on, it's an autocross, hardly where he's going to be maxing the limits of his brake pads. If the car stops fine, he will be fine. Driving around a little mushiness should be no big deal.

I would autox a car with blown shocks, dead bushings, and warped rotors any day of the week.
