"cat" mode for macbook?

I have a macbook, and I have a cat. The cat doesn't like anything that gets attention when it wants attention instead, and I can't stop the cat. Is there any way to disable the keyboard temporarily when my cat comes by, so that just the mousepad works? It's probably the simplest solution, short of locking the cat out.

the cat will soon learn not to go near you when you have the mac book out, simple solution.

Try KeyboardCleanTool, it's so you can clean your keyboard without activating stuff.

Edit: You can also enable "Slow Keys" from system preferences under accessibility. It delays activation of a key unless it is held for a certain amount of time.

Well, I guess that covers the XP install you have on your MacBook. Do you even use it anymore?

one does not simply dissuade a cat from sitting wherever or doing whatever it wants.

I cat.

I've been catting all my life - if your cat tries to walk across your laptop or keyboard while you're using it you push the fucker away. Not difficult.
